The role of the Board of Management is to govern and manage the school. There are two representatives from each of the following groups:
Muine Bheag Vocational School registered with An Taisce in October 2006 to participate in the Green Schools Programme. Following registration with An Taisce a green schools committee was formed with in school community which comprises of the school principal, teachers, students, the school caretaker and the green schools co-ordinator. The purpose of the programme is to increase environmental awareness and to encourage students to participate in the management of their surroundings. This process will help students recognise the importance of environmental issues. The ‘Green Flag’ was awarded to the school in 2008.
