Students are encouraged to take part in a variety of sporting activities such as Gaelic Football, Hurling, Basketball and Handball.

Self-confidence and creative talents are developed by participation in activities such as Classroom Drama and Public Speaking, The school is involved in competitions involving other schools. This gives our students the opportunity to represent their school and meet other young people. We also run competitions within the school so all students have an opportunity to take part in competitions.
The school has a growing programme of student exchange, which creates an opportunity for students to experience different cultures and travel. We have a civic link exchange with a school in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. We also host exchange students throughout the year.
The aim of the Students' Council is to work in partnership with the staff and parents/guardians for the benefit of the whole school community. The Students' Council seeks to provide a line of communication between students, staff and parents/guardians, representing the views of the student body on the matters of concern to them. The Students' Council will undertake a programme of activities, which support students, parents/guardians and staff.
